Open Lecture: EU Enlargement and Reform: Opportunities and Risks

Opening the door to EU accession for Ukraine and Moldova presents new opportunities not only to the new candidates, but also to the EU as such. Maintaining its geopolitical relevance and actively maintaining the space of rule of law and other democratic European values, the EU also ensures its relevance as a dynamic geopolitical actor. For Ukraine and Moldova, this is primarily a chance to transform their societies to be more sustainable and prosperous, through good governance and reforms.

 

On 21 November from 12:00 to 13:30, Marija Golubeva, Head of the Board at the Baltic Initiative on European Reform will share insights on EU Enlargement and Reform during an open lecture at the University of Latvia Faculty of Business, Management, and Economics (Aspazijas bulvāris 5, Rīga - Auditorium No. 404).

 

The lecture will be heald in Latvian.

 

The lecture is organised in cooperation with the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation (LATO).
